Renewables
Energy from new more sustainable sources: we are active with over 2 GW of installed capacity.
Green energy is produced through owned or managed dedicated infrastructure, including also strategic joint ventures, with a portfolio of green field photovoltaics and on-shore and off-shore wind farms, providing technological and geographical diversification.
We started operating in the renewables segment in 2015,at which point our presence was focused initially in Italy and Kazakhstan. Thanks to a series of subsequent acquisitions and corporate reorganizations, we have since expanded our activities widely, enabling us to become one of the leading Italian operators in renewable power generation and to expand in Europe (France, Spain, Greece, United Kingdom and Norway), the United States and Australia.
We are investing both in the construction of new photovoltaics and wind power plants, and the development of new projects; according to our forecasts, by 2040 the electricity production capacity from renewable sources by proprietary plants will be able to cover the whole electricity needs of the customer base.
